Tell Someone
Many of you have already seen the media blitz surrounding the Humanpapilloma Virus which has been found to be present in virtually 100% of cervical cancers. Routine HPV testing for women over 30 is something AWM has been doing for quite some time as recommended by the CDC and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In addition, we have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the HPV vaccine which will prevent the two most common types of high risk HPV linked to cervical cancer and precancerous changes and now it's here. In addition, this vaccine will prevent the two most common types of HPV linked to genital warts. The vaccine is recommended for all women 9-26 years old, regardless of whether or not you have ever had an abnormal pap smear. Call Associates for Women's Medicine today to schedule an appointment for consultation and vaccination.

Dear
Patient
Our
practices have been together as an Ob/Gyn group called “Associates For Women’s Medicine” since
April 1, 2000. For the last five years we have provided the
level of excellent care you have enjoyed and been accustomed
to. We continued to use our individual practice names but
have recently decided to begin the transition to our larger
group name of “Associates For Women’s Medicine”.
Our individual practice names will play a lesser role in identifying
our practices over time, and will eventually be replaced with
the group name. We felt this explanation was necessary to
answer any questions you may have about hearing or seeing
our main group name and to assure you that we will continue
to operate exactly as we have been since the formation of
our company. If you have any questions or concerns please
feel free to contact our Administrator at nthompson@afwomensmed.com
