James Brown, Jr., MD, FACOG
Dr. Brown is a Rochester, New York native and did his undergraduate work at Ithaca College, graduating with a degree in Biology. He immediately entered medical school at the SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse New York and completed his residency in 1993. Dr. Brown is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in addition to being a member in several professional societies and associations. Dr. Brown holds an academic appointment as Clinical Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Department of Ob/Gyn at St Joseph's Hospital and SUNY Upstate Medical University. Dr. Brown has a special interest in high risk obstetrics and infertility, as well as minimally invasive laparoscopic gynecological surgery. He has been in practice in Syracuse for the past 15 years and resides here in the city with his family.
Suchitra Kavety, MD, FACOG
Dr. Suchitra Kavety, has been with Associates for Women's Medicine since completing her residency in OB-GYN at SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2001. She completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Rochester and received her M.D.degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University School of Medicine. She is board certified in OB-GYN by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a native of the Syracuse area, a graduate of Jamesville-Dewitt Schools, and currently resides in Manlius.
John Rosser, MD, FACOG
Dr. John Rosser did his undergraduate work at Union College, Schenectady, New York, and graduated cum laude with honors
in Biological Science. He immediately entered medical school at the SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse New York and
completed his residency in 1994. Dr. Rosser is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow in the
American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He currently holds several leadership positions at St Joseph’s Hospital
including Vice-Chairman of the Department of OB-GYN, as well as being the Section Chief of Obstetrics. He is also a member
of the SJHHC Perinatal Morbidity and Mortality Committee and the OB-GYN Quality Assurance Committee. Dr. Rosser has
practiced exclusively in the greater Syracuse area for thirteen years. He currently resides in Dewitt with his wife and
two children.
